To me the beach is one of the most peaceful places to be. It’s a place of constant movement; tides moving in and out, breezes blowing, and in the water the seaweed and kelp flow with the waves. This mandala started as a doodling; it’s when it was completed that it reminded me of the peaceful movement of kelp beneath the ocean surface.

Week 33: Funny Face
Funny Face reminds us to re-connect with our inner joy. It’s always there. We just have this nasty habit of covering it up with so much seriousness that we forget.
Week 32: Mountain Tops
The Mountain Tops mandala is one of a series of 21 asymmetry mandalas created over a 3-week period in autumn 2007. It consists of multiple upside-down “v”s going on into infinity.
Week 31: Falcon
This was one of many mandalas created after my trip to Egypt with my husband in 1999. This one was inspired by King Tut’s falcon amulet. The design reminds me of the rising phoenix, a transformation from out of the ashes.
Week 12: Portal
While doing a personalized mandala, this design came to me with the intention that it be a gift for all to experience. It is designed to be used as a meditation tool in order to access our own inner guidance deep within ourselves. Many portals exist within the design so that each time you meditate on it you can focus on a different section, each time providing a different experience.
Week 8: Inner Tubes
The Inner Tubes mandala is one of a series of 21 asymmetry mandalas created over a 3 week period in autumn 2007. It consists of only 3 lines overlapping each other, with a spiral in the middle. My asymmetry mandalas come about by drawing in-the-moment inspired doodles.
