Pilgrimage of Healing and Consciousness
For 2025, we’re embarking on a 52-week pilgrimage of inward healing, growth, and self-discovery…and ultimately, peace…regardless of whether the healing is related to addiction, grief, or any other challenge we seek to overcome.
The eighteenth “mile” of our pilgrimage reminds us that not everything has to be hard, that value can be found just as easily in doing things in an easier way. So, when we find ourselves straining to make things happen, maybe it’s time to back off for a moment to see if we kind find an easier way. In those moments, stop, relax, and try again, only gentler this time.
For example, sure we can wash our clothes on rocks by the side of the river, but wouldn’t it be easier and faster to use a washing machine? I know, it’s a mundane example but hopefully you get the point.
Ultimately, it all just depends on the situation. Sometimes “hard” maybe the only way, however we’re encouraged to open our minds to easier alternatives. It’s a “know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em” kind of thing.
How about you? Are you of the belief that anything of value has to be done via hard work and strain? Are you open to discovering easier ways that still help you accomplish your goal?

About the 2025 Mandalas of the Week
Each week I will create a new mandala design to color, along with my coloring of it, and a weekly message and prompt for us to continue on our quest throughout the year. All of which is inspired by Melody Beattie’s book entitled “52 Weeks of Consciousness Contact”.
I will be breaking down each week’s topic into daily insights and images (inspired by Melody’s book) on my blog site: MandalaoftheDay.com where I’ll be creating/building one giant mandala (48”x48”), one puzzle piece of it each day.
