23-16 Getting Better All the Time

Download and color this week’s
Mandala of the Week

This week’s MotW is inspired by Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles”, namely Principles #19 and #20: Use Feedback to Your Advantage and Commit to Constant and Never-Ending Improvement respectively. These two principles felt like they could easily go together. With regards to feedback, Canfield states: “To reach your goals more quickly, you need to welcome, receive, and embrace all the feedback that comes your way.” With regards to never-ending improvement he states: “Achievers—whether in business, sports, or the arts—are committed to continual improvement. If you want to be more successful, you need to learn to ask yourself, ‘How can I make this better? How can I do it more efficiently? How can I do this more profitably? How can we do this with greater love?’”

Over the next seven days, I’ll be delving deeper into these principles via multiple colorings of this mandala and posting them on the Mandalas of the Day. My plan this week is to practice receiving feedback and looking for areas where I can improve on how I do what I do (both personally and professionally).

So how about you? How do you handle feedback? Do you welcome it? Do you look for ways to improve or do you stay with the status quo?

“When we strive
to become better
than we are,
everything around us
becomes better too.”

— Paulo Coelho
