Message

This week we review 14 of our previous lessons—two per day. The main theme is: my mind holds only what I think with God*. And lack of forgiveness** blocks this thought from our awareness.

We’re ask to understand the many forms “in which the lack of true forgiveness may be carefully concealed. ²Because they are illusions, they are not perceived to be but what they are; defenses that protect your unforgiving thoughts from being seen and recognized. ³Their purpose is to show you something else, and hold correction off through self-deceptions made to take its place.”

“And yet, your mind holds only what you think with God. ²Your self-deceptions cannot take the place of truth.”(ACIM, W-rIV.in.3:1–4:2)

We begin each day preparing our mind to learn what each review idea can offer in freedom and peace. We’re to open our mind, and clear it of all thoughts that would deceive, and let this thought alone engage it full, and remove the rest:

My mind holds only what I think with God*.

Ponder this as you color this week’s mandala.

*God is an impersonal, formless, and infinite principle of pure Love. Substitute whatever term that resonates best and allows you to receive the message. The Will of God is our happiness.

**Forgiveness is an illusion with a purpose: it leads us away from other illusions and towards the light. It bridges the gap between illusion and truth. Illusions are anything the ego-mind has created that leads us away from truth, away from peace, love, and joy.
