ACIM Lessons: 128-134

Lesson 128 The world I see has nothing that I want.
→ What I seek cannot be found in appearances.

Lesson 129 Beyond this world there is a world I want.
→ There is a deeper reality I choose.

Lesson 130 It is impossible to see two worlds.
→ I perceive either illusion or truth, not both.

Lesson 131 No one can fail who asks to reach the truth.
→ Sincere willingness always leads to clarity.

Lesson 132 I loose the world from all I thought it was.
→ I release my old interpretations of the world.

Lesson 133 I will not value what is valueless.
→ I choose not to invest in what does not truly matter.

Lesson 134 Let me perceive forgiveness as it is.
→ Let me understand release as it truly works.

Message

This week we go deeper into seeing versus vision, illusion versus reality, and valueless versus value. In the beginning lessons we took our first baby steps towards understanding how objects and circumstances outside of ourselves are neutral. They are neither good nor bad. They just are.

It is we who assign their meaning. We are the ones that give their value. Thrift stores are a perfect example of this. What people don’t value anymore in their homes they usually donate to thrift stores. We, who love to treasure hunt in thrift stores, find tremendous value in the very same items and bring them into our own homes. Proving the adage: One person’s junk is another person’s treasure. Nothing about these objects changed, only the meaning assigned to them.

Same goes for the world we see. The world is neutral. With about 8B people on the planet right now, that would mean that there’s going to be 8B different perspectives on how the world is perceived. Confusing, isn’t it.

This week’s focus comes down to our perception of the world and looking at what filters alter our views. Are we truly seeing as Love would see it or is our grievances clouding our judgment ?
