22-05 Toolbox

Use All the Tools
in the Toolbox

“If you only have a hammer,
you tend to see every problem as a nail.”
Abraham Maslow

“Intuition is the number one tool
in the toolbox.” — Matthew Mellon

You are a toolbox, and you have to add
stuff to it and build on it. I think the more
tools you have, the better life gets.”
…keep adding to the toolbox.
— Lang Leav

This week’s MotW encourages us to use all the colors in our box of crayons; to use all the resources available to us, to use all the tools in our toolbox.

By tools, we mean that which serves us well in our quest to be who we are meant to be, to aid us through our ups and downs, to support us along life’s journey.

Some tools we could add:

  • yoga
  • chocolate
  • meditating
  • walking in nature
  • deep conscious breathing
  • watching a funny movie or show
  • hanging out with people we love
  • hugging a pet (or two)
  • sitting in a garden
  • a good cry
  • prayer
  • spa day
  • journaling
  • daydreaming
  • finger painting
  • playing with/like kids
  • working with a therapist
  • being near/in a body of water
  • reading/listening to a book
  • playing a favorite sport
  • making snow angels
  • quiet time alone
  • a cup of tea
  • gardening
  • canoeing
  • napping
  • dancing
  • a hug
  • sun

What tool(s) would you add?

Blessings,

Maureen
