I created this mandala design inspired by the Ukrainian Flower Crowns (see tomorrow’s MotD), beautiful arrangements of flowers that fan largely around the head with stems or twigs protruding out in all directions. Quite stunning.
This Week…
In the Chakra system, the top of the head – the crown chakra – “is our source of enlightenment and spiritual connection to all that is. It is a connection to our higher selves, to every being on the planet, and ultimately the divine energy that creates everything in the universe.” The Chopra Center.
While we can color this any way we choose, this week’s mandala encourages us to see this design as if a physical representation of our crown chakra. Prior to coloring we can set an intention as if putting a question to our higher selves about any issues we may have. Then treat our coloring of the mandala as a mediation where we allow ourselves to receive any insights, divine inspirations, and/or guidance related to our intention/question.
Keep in mind that the “guidance” may also come in as a sense or feeling; it may also come to us later in the day through some “coincidence” or through a dream.
