17-45: The Astrological Sign of Virgo Mandala

Astrology Sign Virgo - The Virgin

In 2012 I created a series of Hyperbolic Tessellation Mandalas for the 12 signs of Astrology. I self-published them into a Mandalas to Color Calendar for 2013: Astrological Signs.

I plan to color all the signs by the end of the year. This week I continue with the sign of Virgo.

About The Astrological Sign of Virgo

For all of the signs I used their glyph symbol as the tessellated pattern within the mandala. The glyph of Virgo represents the pure and demure essence of the Virgin/Maiden.

For Virgos it’s all about the details, which taken to extremes could appear hyper critical and nit picky. And yet it’s that Virgo energy that inspires us to pay closer attention to that area of our lives where Virgo falls in our chart. We’re inspired to better organize and create more order in that “house”.

Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac and rules the sixth house of health and service, our day-to-day work. It’s an earth element (grounded) and a mutable quality (go with the flow).

This mandala’s message to us:

“The analytical, detail-oriented energy of Virgo loves to organize and wants us to find the joy in our day-to-day lives both at home and in service to humanity. Where in your life do you find clutter and chaos? Virgo wants to help you organize and make your world work better for you so that you can better serve yourself and those around you.”

About the Mandalas of the Week

Each week I choose one of my existing mandala paintings that wants to be upgraded OR create a new one and post it here. Throughout the week, I paint/draw/color/collage/etc it and post my progress on the Mandala of the Day. I post the upgraded version later in the week.

Happy Coloring!

joyfully,
