I created this week’s MotW based on a couple of this week’s MotD posts. To me the design looks like two sides of a decorative door or window opening to reveal floating mandalas, orbs or bubbles, as if in an aquarium.
This Week…
If we go with the aquarium behind opening “doors” idea, we can look at the ornate doors as our fears (disguised as pretty distractions) telling us to stay away from what’s behind the “doors” and focus more on admiring the wild and pretty doors.
The aquarium represents our dreams, goals, ideas that we so desparately want to make manifest and yet tend to be diverted by our fears (self-sabotage, doubts, etc.)
This week’s mandala encourages us to acknowledge the “doors”, realize their role, thank them and ever so gently, open the doors so that we can dive into the joy and wonder of our dreams; finding the strength and courage t0 make them manifest.
My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
