Inspired by yesterday’s Mandala of the Day, I felt like making a delightful design that could represent a sunrise or a flower in full bloom or that top of a mandala cake. And instead of it filling the entire circle, I saw it more as a partial mandala, with the rest of it being implied.
This Week…
The MotD theme this week, Dessert, reminds us to enjoy the sweet things in life. At the same time, the word moderation comes to mind because as we all know, too much of a good thing may be cause for a miserable experience.
Some questions to ponder while coloring this mandala:
What non-food things are sweet to me?
Do I allow myself to experience sweetness?
In what areas of my life do I overindulge?
In what areas of my life am I lacking?
Left to my own devices, would I rather eat dessert before dinner?
Left to my own devices, would I rather do the easy things rather than the more challenging things?
My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
