Pilgrimage of Healing and Consciousness
For 2025, we’re embarking on a 52-week pilgrimage of inward healing, growth, and self-discovery…and ultimately, peace…regardless of whether the healing is related to addiction, grief, or any other challenge we seek to overcome.
Mile 46 of our pilgrimage. This week we’re encouraged to explore generosity both for others as well as ourselves. Generally when we think of generosity we think of it in terms of giving money, gifts, or things. We’re reminded that we can be generous in so many other ways—with our time, our talents, our abilities, with a smile, a compliment, a helping hand, and so on.
We’re reminded of this because we might think that unless we have tons of money it would be out of our reach to be considered generous. Actually, if we really look at it, the giving of our time is far more generous than money because one can always make more money but we can’t make more time.
Our challenge becomes overextending our generosity to the detriment of our health and well-being. How can we be generous to others when we’ve exhausted our own inner/outer resources ? It’s okay to be generous to ourselves as well so we can live to help another day.
How about you ? What are some ways you could be generous without it involving money ? If you tend to shy away from being generous in some way, what’s one small shift in your thinking that could loosen your grip ? Or if you tend to overextend yourself, what’s one way you can be generous to yourself and your own needs ?

About the 2025 Mandalas of the Week
Each week I will create a new mandala design to color, along with my coloring of it, and a weekly message and prompt for us to continue on our quest throughout the year. All of which is inspired by Melody Beattie’s book entitled “52 Weeks of Consciousness Contact”.
I will be breaking down each week’s topic into daily insights and images (inspired by Melody’s book) on my blog site: MandalaoftheDay.com where I’ll be creating/building one giant mandala (48”x48”), one puzzle piece of it each day.
