A Journey Into Joy
Step 12 — Week 3: Home
Step 12 Home We return home before continuing onto the next journey, bearing the treasure that has the power to transform the world as we have been transformed. We are not the same as we were when we began this journey 12 months ago. It’s time to embrace it, celebrate it, and acknowledge how much we’ve grown…bringing us that much closer on our quest into Joy.
For me I plan to continue with the areas covered in the weeks of Step 1 (health, home, The Mandala Lady, and my purpose). To join in on the journey, visit the MandalaoftheMonth.com to download the mandala to color and learn more about this step.
Here’s my journal entry for step 12–week 3: The Mandala Lady
I’ve lost count of how many business-related webinars I’ve attended over the last few weeks. To say I’m overwhelmed is an understatement. Since last month I’ve had some more Soul Language sessions with Jennifer—super helpful. I’ve been able to increase the scope of my Spiritual Team and learning how best to work with them.
So far I’ve interviewed three people about re-doing my web site/branding and I have one more in two weeks. I’m leaning towards working with Nat of Inquisitive Journeys…he’s the only one who connected with my art and understands better than I what the art has to offer. The fact that he had a mandala on the wall behind him makes him an even more compelling condidate. I’m waiting on his proposal.
Over the next week or two I’ll be sifting through all the material I’ve collected from the webinars with the intent of looking for systems I can easily put to use. Right now I feel like the focus needs to be on the easiest things that can be put into place: do readings and sell the stones and small MotDs. They are the easiest to ship. Nat is suggesting that to start out, that I put them on Etsy, where I alreadyI have a shop but haven’t used it since BC (before covid).
That being said, the most important thing I can do right now is establish some goals for 2025, especially: 1) by how much I want to increase my email list, 2) how many stones do I want to sell each month, and 3) how many readings do I want to do each month. Other goals might be to finish Archangel #3, start Archangel #5, determine how many small mandalas do I want to sell, getting my oracle decks published and available for sale, and creating a new coloring book…and ideally getting it published in 2025.
One thing I’ve already set up for 2025 is getting selected to do the Footwise window in July. The only issue would be that the new owners of the building are wanting to change how that space is used. If they haven’t gotten to it by July, then I’m good to go.
I’m nervous/excited about where my business is going and all the potential that lies ahead. In that regard, I have found joy in The Mandala Lady.
That’s it for now.

ABOUT “A JOURNEY INTO JOY”
With all the anxiety and stress in the world right now, focusing on joy may seem a bit counterintuitive. Mais contraire mes amis. We actually need more joy in our lives…now more than ever. And it starts within each of us. It’s been my experience that when in that higher vibrational state of joy, it helps raise the vibration of those around us as well.
Brené Brown defines joy as “an intense feeling of deep spiritual connection, pleasure, and appreciation”. Of late, I mostly experience only moments of happiness and on a rare occasion, joy…thus my desire to journey into joy.
My quest throughout this year is to explore, experience, and express this state in a variety of ways, including following a variation of the hero’s journey, as professed by Jospeh Campbell.
Care to join me? Here’s how…
MandalaoftheMonth.com: On the first of the month, I’ll create and post a mandala for coloring. Each month we’ll take another step along the “journey into joy” by following a modified version Joseph Campbell’s a hero’s journey. Included in each step will be a description of the step and prompts for coloring and/or journaling for the month. You’re welcome to color them as well…they’re free to download.
MandalaoftheWeek.com: Each Monday I’ll be posting my coloring of that month’s Mandala of the Month, which will produce 4-5 colorings of that design. With each one, I intend to dig deeper into the message of that month’s mandala. You’re welcome to color along as well.
